Part nostalgic diner, part Euro-café, Gil’s Goods blends sustainable food practices and a comfortable ambiance with an unbeatably delicious menu. Offering a selection of wood fired pizzas, sandwiches, baked goods, and desserts, Gil’s S.O.L.E. food (sustainable, organic, local, ethical) complements its array of coffee, tea, homemade sodas, and wines.

The Engine 8 team collaborated with local chef and entrepreneur Brian Menges of 2nd Street Bistro and interior designer Gigi Aelbers to create the comprehensive brand for Gil’s. Engine 8 created Gil’s logo, interior and exterior signage, menus, packaging, and print ad materials to mesh seamlessly with the overall concept and design of the café, which, as Menges puts, takes its cue from Ernest Hemingway’s “A Clean Well Lighted Space.”
